One of my most popular patterns recently has been a pretty green floral diamond repeat. Created with Summer in mind for blankets, throws and cushions.
The pattern block was hand drawn on my iPad using Procreate. Then the design was imported into Photoshop. This was done to finish the pattern sizing for applying to fabrics and print on demand home decor products.
Using the masking features in Procreate, and creative brushes, I managed to apply some texture to parts of the motifs. This gives an interesting visual on the pattern.

The downside to Procreate is that the images are in a pixel format. The size of the image can’t be increased significantly without causing pixelation.
But importing the pattern block into Photoshop lets you use the pattern feature to your required size.
When creating files for print on demand, it is then a simple process. You can apply the pattern to a preprepared psd file. The psd file can be converted to a jpeg for the printing company.
And at the same time as preparing the print file, create your mockup files for your products.

So far I have this pattern in this lovely summer green and a mauve. Both are on cushions and throws in my Etsy Store.
